SUNSET DHOW CRUSE

The Zanzibar sunset cruise begins with boarding a dhow at a nearby beach. A variety of snacks, beer and soft drinks will be served, perfectly chilled to your liking. This cruise takes you to a round trip of Zanzibar. This is another side of Zanzibar from the ocean. Our guides will point out the attractions from the boat. There will also be info and stories shared with you. Enjoy some music as the dhow glides further through the sea. Sit back, enjoy and relax. The tranquil sea and the cool breeze will enlighten your spirit. Experience this astonishing feeling.

After you step on board the vessel, the skilled crew on board will take the dhow about 1km away from shore by means of an engine, and once out in the sea the engine is shut off. During this tense moment the skilled crew will put up the sails, and once the sails are in favor of the wind, the guests can sit back, relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the ocean as they listen to the ripple of water on the sides of the dhow as it glides swiftly through the clear turquoise water.

Your breath will be taken away by the wonders of the fiery golden sun setting beyond the horizon as it turns the sky into a magical canvas of shades such as pinks, purples, blues and orange. As you head back for Stone Town the wind gently blows into the Latin sails which is truly mesmerizing. Our sunset cruises leave Stone Town in the late afternoon to cruise along the coast, making it’s way through the clear turquoise water.

The sounds of the bustle of busy people in Stone Town will grow faint in the distance, until they seem there, only in a memory, and as the dhow sails, you will be served with sodas and drinking water, as well as light snacks of Zanzibar which will inspire you to sink back into the dhow bench and enjoy the romance of Zanzibar Island while the sun sets down with the beautiful orange colors.
